FAQs
What is the cost of training?
Each year, thousands of dogs are killed due to snake bites. Vet bills can be in excess of $5000 with no guarantee that your best mate will survive. For a fraction of the cost, ($515) Snake Safe Victoria can train your dog to recognise and avoid snakes.
How do I qualify for the training?
To qualify for training you supply us with some important information. Your dog must be 6 months old, you need to provide us with a letter from your vet saying your dog is fit and healthy to undergo E-Collar or Remote Collar learning, the background of the dog, and tell us a bit about the dog’s behaviour, its surroundings and any past experiences with prey drive, your dog must be able to walk on a loose lead and have basic obedience, every dog is different and at Snake Safe Canines we understand that which is why we need to collect as much information as possible about your dog.
Where are you located?
Training can be booked via our website from August through to November and held in Wandong. We have also travelled to Bright, Nyora and Wodonga to do training.
